Overview

From October 2021, door supervisors will need to complete top-up training before they renew their licence. Therefore, this Level 2 Award for Door Supervisors in the Private Security Industry (Top Up) course is designed for candidates who currently hold a licence from the Security Industry Authority (SIA) to work as a door supervisor and need to be brought up to date with the new licence-linked qualification requirements.

Description

Any business selling alcohol, including small pubs, retailers, large nightclubs, cafés, restaurants, hotels and sports facilities may need trained security
staff qualified as door supervisors who hold an SIA licence.

This Level 2 Award for Door Supervisors in the Private Security Industry (Top-Up) course is based on the relevant SIA specification for learning and qualifications and is supported by Skills for Security, the standards setting body for the security industry and the SIA, who regulate the private security industry.

Hi, The course inlcudes some self study and is also class based. Self-study includes: *Counter Terrorism Awareness (ACT) (Blue) , which takes around 45 minutes to complete * Self-study work book, attached to your booking confirmation email. It is a PDF book which can be completed online, or printed version. Both self-study assessments must be completed prior the arrival to your class. The classroom training is 2 days, which includes theory, practical assessment and examination.
